IV Hand task trainer
A reusable IV training hand designed for intravenous cannulation, venipuncture and IV infusion practice.
The model combines soft silicone anatomy with a functional fluid system, allowing learners to feel for the vein, insert a cannula and receive visible blood flashback when the vein is entered correctly.

Functional Veins
Two dorsal metacarpal veins run through the hand using replaceable latex tubing.
The tubing is easy to source and replace, helping keep the trainer practical for repeated use.
Visible Flashback
When the vein is entered correctly, simulated blood flows into the cannula chamber to provide clear functional feedback.
Realistic Hand Anatomy
The hand was developed using photogrammetry data and is made from soft, prosthetic-grade silicone.
Wrist movement allows the hand to be positioned naturally during practice.
Stable Base
The integrated base keeps the model stable during cannulation, reducing unwanted movement while learners practise the procedure.
Designed for Repeated Use
The hand skin and vein tubing can be replaced when worn rather than replacing the complete trainer.
