Newborn Airway Management task trainer
A modular newborn airway trainer designed for intubation, ventilation and neonatal airway management practice.
The model represents a full-term newborn and combines newborn-specific airway anatomy with functional feedback, allowing learners to practise airway visualisation, ventilation and correct tube placement.

Newborn Airway Anatomy
The airway includes a soft tongue, visible vocal cords and a characteristic omega-shaped epiglottis.
The anatomy is designed specifically around newborn airway management rather than simply scaling down an adult airway.
Functional Intubation Feedback
Approximately 9 cm of endotracheal tube insertion at the lip places the tube around the mid-tracheal position.
If the tube is advanced too far, right mainstem intubation can be demonstrated, allowing learners to recognise and correct incorrect tube placement.
Ventilation
The chest rises during effective ventilation, providing clear visual feedback during bag-mask ventilation and after airway placement.
Modular and Repairable
The trainer is built from individually replaceable components.
The airway can be removed quickly, and worn or damaged parts can be replaced individually rather than replacing the complete trainer.
